Time: Wednesday, March 12, 2014, 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Location: American Museum of Natural History, Grand Gallery, Central Park West at 79th Street, New York, NY 10024
Registration: Open and free with museum admission
Audience: Children of all Ages
Information: Why is your brain folded? How many neurons are packed into your brain? The physical structure of our brains enables us to have complex thoughts and actions, but what our brain looks like and why is hard to imagine without actually looking at our brain. We will explore some physical properties of our brains and compare them with brains from other animals through hands on activities, viewing brains under microscopes, and looking at skulls from various animals.
