Music on the Brain brings together jazz music and science as we celebrate the way that music affects our brains and bodies. Each month we explore a different topic with a guest scientist from Columbia University, combined with music from New York based and inaugural Zuckerman Institute Jazz Artist-in-Residence pianist Helen Sung. March’s program is titled,”I See Music!” Join us to listen and move with the music, and maybe learn something new!

This month’s guest scientist is Baihan Lin, Ph.D candidate pursuing Computational Neuroscience in the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience and Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute at Columbia University. Baihan creates neuroscience-inspired artificial intelligence systems and applies this research to understand how the visual system functions in humans and machines.
