Who are the PD MOVERS?

In the Spring of 2021, the PD Movers group was born - Doctors and researchers at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and Teachers College, Columbia University invited a group of Black and African American individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers to come together to develop an educational guide for Parkinson’s disease (PD) designed specifically for the Black and African American community. Today, the PD Movers are a group of AA/Black and Brown individuals affected by PD coming together to establish a network of trust and support. Follow us on Twitter @PDMOVERS to access culturally-sensitive educational resources to help you live and thrive with PD!

The Brain Health Series is organized by the Neurorehabilitation Lab, Teachers College, Columbia University, and St. Luke's AME church.
